2010 11th Annual Reagan Run 5K Race Facts

  • Race distance: 5 Kilometers, (3.1 Miles.) View the race course map.
  • Walkers are welcome and encouraged. For safety reasons, walkers will line up behind the runners. Please - No strollers and No pets in the 5K Race.
  • Official times will be available for entrants finishing within 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • Start time: Saturday, July 3, 2010, 8:00AM Central Time (CT).
  • Start location: Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home, 810 South Hennepin AV, Dixon, IL,
    one block west of IL Rt. 26 (Galena AV).
  • Finish location: Haymarket Square, 200 Block of South Highland AV.
  • Your participation benefits the Dixon Athletic Boosters, Dixon Main Street, Dixon Park District and Dixon YMCA Strong Kids.
  • You can print, fill out, and mail the 2010 Race Brochure and Entry Form.
  • You can also Register On-Line through June 30, 2010.
  • Early race packet pickup on Friday, July 2, 2010, 11:00AM to 5:00PM at new location:
    Dixon YMCA, 110 N. Galena AV, Dixon, IL. Phone: 815-288-9622.
  • Race Day Registration allowed until Saturday, July 3, 2010, 7:30AM CT at new location:
    Haymarket Square, 255 Highland AV, between West 2nd ST and West 3rd ST.
    (NOTE – the race will still begin at the Start location cited above.)
  • 5K Awards: Unique award to frst overall male and female. First three places, each division, male and female. Awards presented after race. Overall winners do not receive age group awards.
  • Race Features: Shoe Chip electronic timing; Timing splits at mile one & two; Water stations; Traffic control; Medical team on hand; Massage Therapists on site; Finish line stafed & supervised by experienced workers; Wheelchair turnaround @1.2 mile marker; Middle mile of course on wood chips over varying terrain; Refreshments after the race.

    Kids Fun Run:
  • A FREE fun & safe event for kids ages 9 and under. Kids will run 6/10ths of a mile.
  • Start time: Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 7:30AM CT, sharp.
  • Start location: Corner of Hennepin AV and 8th ST.
  • Finish location: Haymarket Square, 200 Block of South Highland AV.
  • Race day registration and check-in will end at 7:15AM CT. Sorry - no exceptions.
  • Pre-registration is encouraged using the Race Brochure or Register On-Line buttons on the left.
  • The frst 100 registrants receive a FREE T-shirt!
    (Sizes are first come-first served. Must participate to receive shirt.)
  • All finishers will receive a special kids goodie bag, a medal, and refreshments!

    • KSB Corporate Challenge – 10th Annual:
  • Sponsored by KSB Corporate Health Services.
  • Run in conjunction with the Reagan Run.
  • Wahl Clipper is the defending champion.
  • Registration deadline: July 2, 2010. No Corporate Race Day Registration.
  • If you are running for your company, use the Race Brochure button on the left, fill in the Corporate Challenge circle, and write in your company's name.
  • You must be a current employee of the company.
  • Running clubs are not included in the Corporate Challenge.
  • Each local company must get a minimum of 5 runners.
  • The place of the first five runners from each company will be added together to get the company’s total time.
  • The company with the lowest total time is the winner.
  • The winning team will be awarded a traveling trophy and bragging rights for one year.
  • A company may enter more than one team.
